1st N.W.O. Canoe Racing Championship – Dryden, Ontario

MooseFest Inc. is proud to announce a new event to our roster this year. The 1st Annual N.W.O. Canoe Racing Championship will take place at Cooper Park in Dryden, Ontario this year on July 4th. We are very excited about the potential for growth and partnerships with this event. The event will include categories for Pro Boats, Competitive, Fun, Kayak and Youth. We have been in contact with Canoe clubs in Minnesota, Atikokan, Northern Manitoba, Thunder Bay and others who are interested in having a new destination to complete their circuit of racing in the area. This event will fit nicely with the annual Aitkokan race on July 1st and we hope to partner with them to grow and improve our event.

With Canoe and Kayaking becoming a fast favourite sport in our area we are sure this is an event that will continue with the MooseFest line-up and introduce more people to the sport and the excitement of the opportunities there are here for the sport. The Dryden Recreation Complex has been a tremendous support to bring this event here with their involvement with canoe and kayak rentals and we continue to look for other partnerships and sponsors to help us grow this event to its full potential.
